A credible provider should connect every recommendation to a question, answer, competitor, page, or source—and define how the change will be retested.
Shortlist of providers to evaluate
Observed and last reviewed August 6, 2026. Inclusion is not a ranking. Provider claims must be reverified before procurement.
| Provider | Publicly observed fit | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| UnderAI | Software plus managed AI Visibility Audit, Prompt Research, Website AI SEO, AEO Content Strategy, Citation Strategy, and Monitoring & Retesting | Scope, markets, platforms, prompt volume, commercial terms, and required product access |
| Omnius | Publishes AEO, GEO, and AI SEO service pages and provider-comparison content | Exact deliverables, measurement access, source work, and retest method |
| Goodie | Publishes AEO, visibility, growth, and industry-oriented service content | Scope boundaries, platform evidence, implementation ownership, and reporting |
| iPullRank | Publishes an AI Search Audit offering within a broader search practice | Audit outputs, implementation handoff, collection method, and ongoing monitoring |
| Amsive | Publishes SEO and AEO strategy content within a broader digital service offering | Dedicated AEO scope, answer-level evidence, and source/citation delivery |
UnderAI is included because it is both a provider and the developer of UnderAI GEO Workspace. It should not disappear from a provider comparison written on UnderAI’s site.
Compare the operating method
Prompt research
Ask where prompts come from, how market evidence differs from generated ideas, and whether the baseline panel remains stable.
Collection and evidence
Require successful and failed response states, full answers, brand and competitor roles, Sentiment, and exact Citation URLs where available.
Website implementation
Confirm whether the provider only delivers recommendations or also produces page architecture, briefs, copy, technical changes, and acceptance checks.
External source strategy
Ask whether the agency starts from exact cited pages and verifies the author, account, and publication route. A generic media list is not a Citation Strategy.
Measurement and attribution
Review metric formulas, denominators, prompt versions, retest conditions, and the boundary between visibility, traffic, and revenue.
Questions to ask before hiring
- Show one chart and trace it to the exact prompts and answers.
- Show how failed collections are reported.
- Explain how you separate official page gaps from external source gaps.
- Provide a sample page-owner map and implementation acceptance check.
- State which work your team performs and which work remains with the client.
- Define the retest before implementation begins.
- Identify current product, data, and platform limitations.
UnderAI’s operating model
UnderAI GEO Workspace provides ongoing AI Performance Tracking. The managed products use that evidence to research prompts, diagnose visibility and source gaps, improve official pages, develop external evidence, and retest comparable observations.

How the shortlist was built
The provider names were discovered from two competitor pages that already attract search demand for AEO agency comparisons: Omnius’s agency list and Goodie’s agency guide. UnderAI then applied one shared review frame instead of copying either ranking.
For a capability-based evaluation of the broader GEO agency category, use the GEO agency selection guide.
Inclusion required a public AEO, GEO, AI search, or closely related service footprint. The table records an observed fit and an explicit verification question. It does not assign a hidden score or claim that every provider was tested as a client.
Uniform review record
Before this page uses “best” as a ranked conclusion, every provider should have the same evidence record:
| Field | Required proof |
|---|---|
| Prompt method | Source labels, question governance, and fixed Panel design |
| Collection | Platforms, markets, repeats, failed-unit handling, and raw answers |
| Diagnosis | Brand role, competitor role, accuracy, Citation and page ownership |
| Delivery | Technical, content, source, approval, and publication ownership |
| Retesting | Compatible rerun method and interpretation limits |
| Commercial | Current scope, price basis, dependencies, and exclusions |
UnderAI’s own baseline and limitations are disclosed rather than treated more favorably. Its differentiator is the response-to-action workflow and software layer, not a claim that UnderAI already dominates category answers. See the Citation benchmark for the underlying scope.
Competitor-research sources
The market-demand pages reviewed were Omnius’s AEO agencies comparison and Goodie’s AEO agency guide. Provider capabilities still require verification from each provider’s current first-party materials.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a ranked list?
No. A defensible ranking requires a uniform product and delivery test. This page is an evidence-led shortlist and selection framework.
Should I hire an agency or buy software?
Choose software when your team can design prompts, review answers, and execute findings. Choose managed support when diagnosis, content, website work, or external authority is the constraint. Many teams need both.
Does UnderAI include its own product?
Yes. UnderAI GEO Workspace is the software measurement layer, and managed services are scoped separately.
