What to track
- Coverage Rate for scheduled response units;
- brand and alias mentions;
- recommendation position, Visibility, and TOP3;
- Positive, Neutral, or Negative Sentiment;
- factual description accuracy;
- competitors in the same answer;
- Citation URLs and official-domain coverage;
- historical changes under comparable conditions.
Build the Gemini prompt panel
Group prompts by category, discovery, comparison, implementation, trust, and audience. Keep exact wording stable for trend measurement. Test new questions in a candidate library before adding them to the core panel.
For each prompt, record the business task, source, target market, expected entities, owner, and decision the result can change. A prompt should not enter the core panel only because it contains a target keyword.
Preserve collection states
| State | Reporting treatment |
|---|---|
| Successful and evaluable | Eligible for visibility and position metrics |
| Successful with no brand mention | Valid non-mention |
| Successful with no Citation | Valid only when Citation output was available |
| Failed or empty | Missing measurement |
| Platform or route unavailable | Report unavailable; do not infer a zero |
| Excluded after review | Preserve reason and reviewer |
Compare tools using the same evidence fields
| Evaluation area | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Gemini product route | Exact Gemini experience collected |
| Market and language | Project conditions available |
| Prompt control | Import, grouping, and wording stability |
| Response status | Failed versus successful answers |
| Answer evidence | Full response and timestamp |
| Brand analysis | Mention, position, competitors, and Sentiment |
| Citations | Exact URL and response linkage |
| History | Method and formula consistency |
| Export and API | Entitlements and plan limits |
UnderAI GEO Workspace is one product to evaluate. Gemini is included in its current international default platform set. The product provides market-specific Tracking Projects, Prompt Groups, daily results, Visibility, TOP3, Sentiment, Answer Snapshots, competitors, and Citations. Public export/API terms and list pricing are not documented.
Turn Gemini findings into action
Map a stable non-mention to the relevant official page owner. Investigate inaccurate descriptions through entity and source conflicts. Compare cited competitor pages with your owner. Route external source gaps to credible publisher or community work. Retest the same Gemini prompts after publication.
Stable absence
Confirm that entity aliases and collection succeeded, then compare the competitor answer and source set. Decide whether the gap is positioning, official content, external corroboration, or genuine irrelevance.
Inaccurate description
Identify the incorrect statement, likely public sources, official fact owner, and affected markets. Correct upstream facts and retest without rewriting the prompt to force the desired answer.
Citation gap
Keep official and external sources separate. A competitor product page calls for an official owner comparison; a third-party guide calls for source-route and evidence analysis.
Reporting cadence
Daily collection can support a history, but teams do not need to react daily. Review collection health frequently, triage material answer changes weekly, and make strategic page or source decisions over a window appropriate to volatility and publication timing.

Gemini tracking results from UnderAI’s baseline
Gemini completed all 48 planned response units in UnderAI’s July 2026 Panel. Thirty-three responses contained at least one structured Citation, producing 447 Citation facts and 63 unique canonical URLs. Strict brand and official-site Citation outcomes are kept as separate scorecard fields rather than folded into source availability.
Because each of the 16 prompts ran three times, the dataset can show whether a source or competitor appeared once or repeated across runs. That is more useful than treating a single manual answer as a stable rank.
Gemini tracking scorecard
| Measure | July 2026 observed result |
|---|---|
| Planned and successful units | 48 / 48 |
| Successful answers with Citation | 33 |
| Response-level Citation rate | 68.8% |
| Citation facts | 447 |
| Unique canonical URLs | 63 |
| Strict UnderAI mentions | 0 |
| UnderAI official Citations | 0 |
The next report should retain the same Panel and conditions, then show whether any new mention or source relationship repeats. A new one-off Citation is an observation, not yet a durable gain.
Gemini source boundary
Google notes that Gemini may provide related sources, but not every answer includes them, and users should verify potentially inaccurate responses. See Gemini source guidance and Gemini response limitations. UnderAI therefore audits source availability and description accuracy as separate fields.
Frequently asked questions
Does UnderAI track Gemini?
Yes. Gemini is in the current international default platform set. Confirm the enabled platform and market configuration during setup.
Is Gemini visibility the same as Google AI Overview visibility?
No. They are separate product experiences and should retain separate results even when prompts overlap.
Can one Gemini answer establish a trend?
No. Preserve repeated, comparable observations and review answer volatility.
Does Gemini visibility prove Google search traffic?
No. Gemini answer evidence, Google AI Overview evidence, organic search performance, referrals, and conversions are separate layers.
